Online Round
The Online International Math Challenge (IMC) is widely regarded as a prominent global contest centered around mathematics, catering to students across all academic levels and age groups worldwide.
The exam will be active for 48 hours starting on 14 November 2025, Thailand time, at 08:00 AM (UTC+7),

Students aged 6 to 17 years old (or in Grades 1 to 12) from any country are eligible to participate in the Online International Math Challenge (IMC). It is open to individuals, schools, and educational institutions worldwide.
Go to register.mathchallenge.in.th and follow the instructions. You can register as a participant or as a mentor and then register your students.
All questions will be available in 5 languages, namely English, Thai, Chinese, Russian and Spanish languages.
Different categories will have questions from different topics. Please see the topics above.
- Participants must only have the IMC examination browser tab open. Opening any other tabs or applications will be recorded and considered an attempt to cheat.
- The device’s webcam must be on and running from the beginning to the end of the exam. Participants will be monitored through the webcam.
- Suspicious body or head movements will be considered cheating and may result in disqualification.
- Participants must keep their faces visible at all times. The use of facemasks, caps, sunglasses, or any other headgear that obscures the face is not allowed.
- If the webcam is not on during the exam, the result will be invalid.
- If a person other than the participant is seen on the participant’s webcam during the exam, the IMC team has the right to cancel the participant’s exam.
- Participants must stay seated and remain on the exam for the entire duration. Leaving and returning to continue is not allowed and may result in the cancellation of the exam results by the IMC team.

You will be able to download your Participant Certificate after finishing the exam.
The Achievement Certificate will be available for download once the system announces the official rankings.
A participant can take the exam on a desktop computer, laptop, or tablet. The smallest size for the screen is 8.3 inches.

In this situation; the exam timer will keep running. Students can rejoin the exam, but the system will flag the incident as suspicious. The IMC team will then review all available data from the exam system to investigate. If any evidence of cheating is found, the student’s results will be invalidated.
You can pay via the Stripe payment method (highly recommended) and Visa or Mastercard, which are available at the registration site. You may choose any of the available online payment options that is most convenient for you.
Please note: The exam fee is nonrefundable.
A tryout exam is a practice test designed to simulate the real exam experience. It helps students become familiar with the exam format, question types, and difficulty level, allowing them to assess their strengths and identify areas for improvement before the actual competition.
Participants will need a webcam to participate in the competition. During the exam time the video will be recorded for the sake of security and integrity of the exam.
Global Round
Students who qualify through the Online Round or are nominated by schools are eligible to participate in the Global Round.
The Global Round is held in-person at an international host location, which changes yearly. The exact venue is announced on the official IMC website.
Yes, participants usually need to achieve a certain score or rank in the Online Round. However, some schools may receive direct invitations for top-performing students.
The Global Round includes individual and team challenges, problem-solving activities, and cultural exchange events. It’s a mix of academic and fun learning experiences.
Yes, there is a separate registration fee for the Global Round, which covers participation, materials, certificates, and some local event costs.
Yes, all participants will receive a Global Round Certificate. Top performers may also receive medals, trophies, or special awards.
Yes, accompanying adults (parents/teachers) are welcome and may register under the accompanying person package, which may include access to ceremonies and excursions.
Top achievers receive gold, silver, or bronze medals, trophies, and special category awards. Selected winners may also be offered scholarships or invitations to other events.
Yes! The Global Round features sightseeing, cultural exchange, games, and networking opportunities for students from around the world.
Use past IMC papers, attend workshops, and review problem-solving strategies. The tryout exam is also a great way to prepare.
