IMC Global Round
The IMC Global Round is a prestigious event that brings together top-performing students from around the world to compete, connect, and celebrate their achievements. More than just a competition, it offers participants an unforgettable experience of exploring the vibrant culture and beauty of Thailand, building friendships with peers from diverse backgrounds, and showcasing their talents in the final challenge.
ELIGIBILITY
The top 45% of winners from the Online round of the International Math Challenge are eligible to join the global round. In other words, Gold, Silver and Bronze certificate winners of the Online round are qualified to compete in the Global Round of the International Math Challenge.
IMC Global Round 2025: Examination and Awarding Ceremony Details
The International Math Challenge (IMC) Global Round examination and awarding ceremony will take place at the prestigious Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand, on 15–16 February 2025.
Important Instructions:
Participants are required to bring a valid national identification card with a photo or a passport for identity verification by the IMC organizers.
To ensure seamless access, participants must upload a passport-size photo to their IMC accounts. This is necessary for generating access badges, which will be distributed on the exam day.
Exam Day – 15 February 2025
- Arrival Time: Participants must arrive at Chulalongkorn University by 9:00 AM.
- Exam Start Time: The examination will begin promptly at 10:00 AM.

Awarding Ceremony – 16 February 2025
- Arrival Time: Participants must arrive by 09:30 AM at the latest.

EXAM FORMAT
- The exam is scheduled to take place at 10:00 AM on February 15, 2025 at the Chulalongkorn University. (second location can be added)
- Exam papers are provided in five different languages: English, Thai, Chinese, Russian and Spanish
- Categories and topics are the same as in the online round.
- The exam is a paper-based examination, and students are required to solve problems on the question papers.
- Participants are provided with pencils and erasers.
- There are 15 multiple-choice and 5 open questions in all categories.
- The duration of the exam is 90 minutes.
- If scores are tied, the time used will be the deciding factor.
- Three wrong answers invalidate one correct answer. Skipping questions (leaving blank) does not reduce the score.
AWARDING
- Top 15%: Gold Medals
- Top 16-30%: Silver Medals
- Top 31-60%: Bronze Medals
- Students receiving net 3 points or above: Honorable Mention Certificates
- Top 3 students in each category will be awarded special gifts.
