WHAT WE STAND FOR

International Math Challenge

Mission

International Math Challenge inspires young problem-solvers through creative and critical thinking in math.

Vision

Inspiring young minds to solve problems through creative thinking, global collaboration, and real-world math.

NO PRIOR OLYMPIAD TRAINING REQUIRED

IMC is designed for all students, not only Olympiad specialists. Questions encourage logical thinking, problem-solving, and mathematical confidence using school-level knowledge.

Compete Across Continents

Join thousands of students from around the world and experience an international academic challenge that promotes cultural exchange and global recognition.

EXPERTLY CRAFTED QUESTIONS

Our questions are carefully designed by experienced educators to assess reasoning, creativity, and mathematical understanding rather than routine memorization.

ASSESS SKILLS THAT MATTER

Develop critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities—essential skills for academic success and future careers.

“We aim to provide an opportunity for every student on the planet to compete with their peers.”

Our Story

The International Math Challenge (IMC) began in Bangkok, Thailand, in 2012 with a vision to inspire students through mathematics and problem-solving. What started as a local competition has grown into a global platform connecting young learners from more than 115 countries.
Today, IMC empowers students to develop critical thinking, creativity, and confidence while competing on an international stage. Through accessible, high-quality mathematical challenges, we continue to nurture the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers.

“We aim to provide an opportunity for every student on the planet to compete with their peers.”
